I currently manage a team that is responsible for providing high performance computing to the Federal Reserve System. We currently provide researchers access to Beowulf Clusters, Parallel Data warehousing technologies. Who knows what new technologies tomorrow will bring but I am always on the lookout.
SYSTEMS ENGINEER, FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF KANSAS CITY
December 1999 - December 2008
Transitioned the Federal Reserve Bank from expensive sparc systems to an Open source linux solution for econometric processing. In addition, brought in the first Beowulf cluster to the Federal Reserve changing the processing paradigm. Jobs that took weeks could be completed in hours.
NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR, ANDERSEN CONSULTING
February 1993 - November 1999
Management of network access and security policies.
Server and PC Installation, configuration and support.
Troubleshooting LAN/WAN problems.
